AML training for fintech & payments

Keep AML judgement strong as your fintech grows.

Assessment, certification and live training for onboarding, payments, fraud and compliance teams, with training records you can show partner banks and supervisors.

For payment institutions, EMIs, digital wallets and neobanks.

Mule payments pass through in seconds.

Trained teams escalate them in time.

An illustration: three new payers send money into a new account, and it leaves at once for another bank. Then the team is trained, and the next outgoing payment is escalated before it leaves.

What your teams will work on

Six areas where payments teams make AML decisions every day. We agree the depth, the cases and who takes part with you.

  1. 01

    Digital onboarding & customer risk

    KYC, onboarding & customer teams

    • Test whether the evidence supports the customer’s identity, ownership and purpose.
    • Explore source of funds, source of wealth and when the case needs enhanced review.
    • Practise asking for useful information and explaining the next step clearly.
  2. 02

    Payments, monitoring & investigations

    Payments operations & AML analysts

    • Read payment activity in the context of the customer, product and expected behaviour.
    • Work through rapid movement, unusual beneficiaries and cross-border connections.
    • Document why a case needs more information, further investigation or escalation.
  3. 03

Fraud, mule activity & customer contact

    Fraud, support & first-line teams

    • Connect customer interactions with indicators of scams, account misuse and mule activity.
    • Practise the handoff between customer support, fraud and financial crime teams.
    • Handle sensitive information and communications within the agreed procedures.
  4. 04

    Sanctions & cross-border exposure

    Screening, payments & compliance teams

    • Consider the parties, ownership links and jurisdictions behind a payment.
    • Review potential matches, adverse information and circumvention indicators.
    • Record the reasoning for a decision and know when specialist review is needed.
  5. 05

    Product change & partner relationships

    Product, risk & commercial teams

    • Map how a new feature, distribution channel or customer segment changes exposure.
    • Understand the responsibilities of agents, outsourced providers and business partners.
    • Bring relevant risk questions into the product conversation before rollout.
  6. 06

    Oversight, reporting & regulatory change

    Compliance leaders, MLROs & management

    • Challenge the quality of case decisions, escalation narratives and learning evidence.
    • Translate relevant AMLR changes and developing technical standards into role-specific learning.
    • Scope crypto-asset and Travel Rule topics where relevant to the business model.

Frequently asked questions

Agree the scope, delivery and learning evidence before the programme begins.

Can we start with one product or operational priority?

Yes. Book a single training session or workshop on a product launch, a new market, a difficult case type or a finding from a quality review, or start with a team AML check. If you want continuing support, we plan an annual programme around the results.

Is the programme only for the compliance team?

No. We scope learning for onboarding, payments, fraud, customer support, product, risk and management, as well as compliance specialists. The depth and cases depend on each role’s responsibilities.

Can you work with our existing training and procedures?

Yes. We agree where professional certification, applied workshops or focused refreshers add value to your existing programme. Approved procedures and suitably anonymised cases can inform the learning.

Do you cover crypto-facing products and multiple markets?

Where relevant, we can scope crypto-asset, MiCA and Travel Rule topics alongside payment and customer risk. Content reflects the jurisdictions, products and activities in scope; each team does not need the same syllabus.

What does the training demonstrate?

It provides evidence of learning, assessment and professional development under the agreed programme. Managers can use that evidence alongside operational quality reviews. Your organisation retains responsibility for its policies, controls and regulatory obligations.

Can we use your content in our existing LMS?

Yes. We review the content you already have and scope licensed courses or simulators to fill agreed gaps. Courses can be delivered as SCORM packages, simulators and whole programmes run on our learning platform, and we can build a custom API integration on request.

Which languages can our team learn in?

The learning platform works in English, French and Spanish. CASS can be studied in English, French or Spanish, and AML Foundations in English or Spanish. CAPS, FIAR and the industry tracks are taught in English, and certificates are issued in English.

How are timing and pricing agreed?

Each programme’s individual price is on its page. For teams, we quote for the people, programmes and live sessions you choose, as a single session or an annual agreement, once we have agreed the scope, any tailoring and the delivery. Allow around four weeks to prepare tailored live sessions.
