This page explains the cookies and similar technologies on our website, amlcertification.com, which AML Certification Centre OÜ runs. "Similar technologies" means anything that stores information in your browser or reads it from there, including local storage and session storage. The AML Learning Platform at learn.amlcertification.com has its own cookie policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the website to work. Others help us understand how the website is used, or measure our advertising.
Your choice
On your first visit, a banner asks which cookies you accept. Necessary cookies always run, because the website cannot work safely without them. The others run only if you accept them:
- Statistics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website. They come from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
- Marketing cookies let Meta and LinkedIn measure our advertising and show you our ads. They come from the Meta pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
Using the website does not count as accepting cookies, and declining them does not stop you using any part of it.
Our own visitor tag
Our visitor tag, served from crm.amlcertification.com, which we run ourselves, records the pages you view so that we can link them to an enquiry, or to an account if you later register on the AML Learning Platform. It keeps its identifier in your browser's local storage, and our collector at crm.amlcertification.com sets a cookie of its own. It runs on our legitimate interest, not on consent. You can object to it at any time by writing to [email protected], and you can delete its identifier yourself by clearing this website's stored data in your browser settings.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or with the link in the list below. From then on, nothing that needs your consent is collected. Withdrawing does not make unlawful what was done with your consent before, and data already collected is kept only for the periods in our Privacy Policy. You can also delete cookies and stored data in your browser's settings.
Storage that ends with your visit
While you browse, the website may keep a few details in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab:
- your language choice: whether you chose a language, or dismissed our suggestion to read the page in your language. We keep this only because you asked for it, and it never leaves your browser;
- your knowledge check: if you take our practice knowledge check, your answers so far, so you can carry on if you reload the page. They never leave your browser;
- campaign details: the campaign details in the link that brought you here (for example utm_source, or an ad-click identifier such as gclid, fbclid or msclkid), the address of the first page you landed on, without any other details in that link, and the website that referred you. We receive them only if you send us an enquiry.
